Exhibiting humility and perseverance, these petitions encourage you to knock at God’s door, enter into His presence, and live your “utmost for His highest.” Spiral bound.

"Lord, my chief desire is to be rooted and grounded in you—God-centered and God-absorbed, God-enthused and God-loved. How eager my soul is to know you and be still!"

"Draw me, O Lord, into vital communion with yourself. What a difference the sun makes in the natural world--and what a difference it makes when you dawn upon us! Press through till we are thrilled with your presence."

Advantages
The prayers are organized in a unique way. From January to October, they are from Oswald Chambers' years as the principal of the Bible Training College in London. September overlaps the first part with reading his struggles to find God's guidance. November through December are during the final two years of his life when he served as a chaplain with the YMCA during WWII. His succinct writing points all back to our Lord and Savior in ways we may overlook the simplicity of a day. For example, January 11 reads: "Lord, the hilarious simplicity of trust in you seems almost levity until I remember you, and dare not be glad! Spread joy and gladness all around us this day." In December it reads: "Lord in my consciousness this morning a crowd of little things press and I bring them straight to your presence. In your wisdom, say, "Peace, be still!" (Mark 4:39) and may our ordered lives confess the beauty of your peace. Simple and to the point; I appreciate it!
Comment
One advantage of purchasing through a small vendor, allows those trying to reach people with good resources to help make a living and share a ministry. I am grateful I found this publisher and will try to support them before purchasing through a large online store with no eternal focus. May God bless this ministry and help more people to see the good resources available.
