I first read this book in 1973. I have read it several times over the years and given it out to encourage others to believe God.

Greatest book, next to the Bible. I learned of Bevington from Mr. S.E. Van Note, who lived in KY and actually knew Bevington. He was real. I couldn't think of a more inspiring book for any Christian with or without health issues. Like others, I have loaned out several copies, some never to return, so I just keep buying more.

First heard of this book when a young adult Sunday school teacher sometimes read excerpts from an old copy he had. I'd grown up Lutheran. Thought miracles ceased but didn't know why. In a time of deep distress called to God for help. Some days later, saw things while sitting in my car. Next day, actually saw the man in my vision, then day after that, everything I'd seen inside my car began happening during a church service. (The man had been a pastor).
Fast-forward, I wound up at another church, where this book was shared at times in Sunday school discussions. Wow, it will spiritually red pill your life! Amazing, and yes, sometimes copies loaned out don't make it back. So, I just buy more...to share. People need faith. It's greatly helped mine, and it even has a children's chapter!

This book is such a blessing. Bevington's life shows so clearly that the God of the bible is still the same - yesterday, today, and forever. If there were more Christian leaders like him around today we would not have the world thinking of Christians as hypocrites. That humility, that level of trusting and following God, that holiness and willingness to stand up for holiness is something that every believer should desire to attain. I know after reading this book, I certainly do.

This is the third copy of Bevington's book that I have bought. I loan it out and it doesn't come back. :-) Every time I read it, I am blessed.

This man learned what it is to trust in God, and how to wait on him to answer. A true honor to read about his life. Getting ready to buy my 3rd copy of this book. 1st one never came back home. Gave the second to my pastor. Now I need me another copy...that I will probably end up happily replacing too. It's worth the price each time!

I found a copy of Modern Miracles when I had to work on the floor furnace of a small country church where I was appointed pastor in 1982. It was stored in a box of old books stored under there. It quickly became the most inspiring book other than the Bible to me. I searched for copies every where and finally paid the publisher for fifty copies of a new printing. Word got around that I was looking for information on Rev. Bevington. One day I got a call from a woman in a nursing home who said she was Mr. Bevington's nurse. I was startled. She ask me what I wanted to know about him, I answered "I don't know where to start". She replied, "You probably want to know if the things in his book are true"? She said, more than you will ever know! Oh, for a faith in God such as He had!
