Date added: 03/11/2013 Kingsley Press Web Site Gets Makeover
As you may have noticed, our web site has recently undergone somewhat of a makeover. The basic functionality of the site has pretty much remained the same, but the colors and overall appearance of the site have changed somewhat. This is not change just for the sake of change, though. It came about mostly because we upgraded the software that underlies our site, and in doing so we had to either pay a web developer a rather large sum of money to keep the previous appearance, or perform the upgrade ourselves and not worry too much about keeping the old colors, etc. Overall, we are pleased with the makeover and hope you are too.
We've also taken this opportunity to change our logo. This is already being used on our web site, and will be used on all of our stationery, invoices, mailing labels, etc. It will also be used on book covers of the books we publish.
Most importantly, we'll continue to try to provide you with top quality service and the very best in Christian books that bless.
Date added: 01/24/2013 New from Kingsley Press: When the Spirit's Fire Swept Korea
Kingsley Press is pleased to announce the publication of a wonderful little booklet containing Jonathan Goforth's firsthand accounts of the Korean revival of 1907. He shows how it all began with the prayers of God’s people and their desire to see God do greater things than they had already witnessed in previous years.
Jonathan Goforth was a pioneer missionary to China who longed to see God work in revival power. In 1904 and 1905 he was inspired by reports of the Welsh Revival, and then in 1907 he heard about a revival that had broken out in nearby Korea. He decided he must go there and witness the outpouring of God’s Spirit firsthand in the hope that the fires of revival and renewal would follow him back to China on his return. He was not disappointed. After visiting some of the main mission centers in Korea and witnessing what the mighty power of God had done and was still doing, Goforth returned to China and began reporting to the churches there the mighty movings of God’s Spirit he had seen and heard about in Korea. As a result, the churches in Manchuria began to pray for a mighty outpouring of the Spirit of God. In the fall of that same year, 1907, God’s power began to be unleashed in Manchuria, and in 1908 the same revival fire that had swept through Korea also swept through Manchuria, China. As a result of this revival, Goforth’s life and ministry was transformed from that of a career missionary to a traveling evangelist and revivalist. He became one of the best known of all China missionaries, and was known all over China as the “Flaming Preacher.”
In her foreword to this booklet, Goforth’s daughter, Mary Moynan, wrote that her heart had been “searched and scorched” as she read these pages again.
“Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?” (Psalm 85:6).
We hope you'll get a copy of this excellent booklet and allow it to stir your heart for revival in our own day.

Date added: 12/13/2012 Kingsley Press Reprints an Old Classic: Memoirs of David Stoner
David Stoner was an early Wesleyan Methodist preacher who has been likened to David Brainerd. He was converted as a boy and began preaching to his friends and associates. He quickly grew in Christlikeness and Christian maturity and became a zealous soul-winner. His memoir will challenge you to a deeper prayer life and to a more careful walk with God. Stoner died at the young age of 32.
Oswald J. Smith, in his soul-stirring book, The Revival We Need, wrote the following: “Have been reading the diary of David Stoner. How I thank God for it! He is another Brainerd. Have been much helped, but how ashamed and humble I feel as I read it! Oh, how he thirsted and searched after God! How he agonized and travailed! And he died at 32.”
Get your copy of Memoirs of David Stoner now. I guarantee you will be spiritually enriched!
Date added: 10/20/2012 Hazardous by Ed Cyzewski and Derek Cooper Newly Added
Are you tired of trying to live a “safe” faith? Are you ready to become a Hazardous disciple? Derek Cooper and Ed Cyzewski show how true discipleship clashes with our culture and affects every area of life. Counting the cost and becoming disciples of Jesus instead of just spectators will influence all our daily decisions and plans. Hazardous is a call to listen for God’s leading and to obey, even when it leads us down a difficult and dangerous path.
As you confront the risks of discipleship and learn to foster a deeper reliance on Christ alone, you can be prepared for every challenge that comes your way. Hazardous will show you how.
Date added: 10/13/2012 Just Released: Anthony Norris Groves - Saint and Pioneer
Do you want to read about the man who influenced George Muller to a life of trust in God to supply all his needs--and the needs of thousands of orphans? Do you want to read about the man who has been called "the father of faith missions." G. H. Lang, the author of Anthony Norris Groves: Saint and Pioneer says that he was "one of the most influential men of the 19th century." That in itself is huge.
Groves was a leading figure in the early days of what Robert Govett would later call the mightiest movement of the Spirit of God since Pentecost—a movement that became known simply as the Brethren. In this book G. H. Lang combines a study of the life and influence of Anthony Norris Groves with a survey of the original principles and practices of the Brethren movement.
Date added: 09/20/2012 New from Kingsley Press: The Churches of God
If you've ever wondered what the churches of the New Testament looked like - how they functioned, how they were governed, how they conducted their evangelistic and missionary enterprises, what ordinances they observed, what their liturgy consisted of, how decisions were made, how discipline was administered; if you've ever wondered how far modern churches have drifted from the New Testament pattern; if you've ever wondered what it would take for your church, and others like it, to return to the New Testament model, or if such a thing is even possible or desirable - then The Churches of God is for you!
Date added: 07/28/2012 Newly Added: Behind the Ranges
James Fraser was only 22 years old when he abandoned a promising engineering career and went to China. At first sight of the Lisu tribespeople of Yunnan province he felt an immediate affection for them. For the rest of his life, he traveled on horseback over rugged mountains, laboring to bring the Lisu the good news of Christ.
Fraser learned the importance of the prayer of faith and realized much time had been wasted through ineffective praying, believing God would answer instead of knowing that he had answered already and therefore receiving the answer when the prayer was offered. With this revelation Fraser asked in faith for hundreds of Lisu families to give their lives to Christ. When the transaction was done, he rose with the deep restful conviction that he had already received the answer. Some years later when the Lisu started coming to faith, Fraser remarked that some may now say that his prayer had finally been answered but that this was incorrect. He had received the answer to his prayer the day he had prayed on January 12, 1915. As God taught him about prayer and faith, he shared these truths with his prayer partners in England.
Read Fraser's amazing story in Behind the Ranges.
