The full title of this book is: Anthony Norris Groves, Saint and Pioneer: A Combined Study of a Man of God and the Original Principles and Practices of the Brethren with Application to Present Conditions. Groves has been called The Father of Faith Missions. He was associated with the early Plymouth Brethren movement, and his pamphlet entitled Christian Devotedness had a profound effect on George Muller, who married Groves' sister. Groves left a lucrative dental practice in England to go as a missionary to Baghdad and later India, looking only to God for support.
